Michael Biehl has written a mystery novel set in the Florida Keys called Seven Mile Bridge.

Jess Walter has published a new book called The Financial Lives of The Poets. It  is a story about a man who creates a web site devoted to financial journalism in the form of poetry.


Austin Clark's new novel, More, is about an immigrant woman who struggles to make sense of her life.


Bruce Feiler has written a book about how Moses inspired many American leaders. The book is called America's  Prophet: Moses and The American Story.


Christina Asquith is the author of a new book called Sisters In War: A Story of Love, Family and Survival in The New Iraq. It is about four woman who face the  many challenges  of life in the Middle East.


Albert M. Langley Jr. has written a book about the railroad line that served the Sarasota area at one time. The book is titled: Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Album.


Jalma Barrett has a book out, based on a true story. The book is by BookSurge and is called The Dove Family Tale.


James Hensel has published a novel, Heir of Suspicion. It's about a man who becomes a prime suspect after his father's murder.


Joyce Walker has written a combination of grandmotherly advice in Grandmother Knows Best and Tell It Like It Is.


Freddy Frankel has published a book of poetry he started during his military service in World War II in Italy. The book is called In A Stone's Hollow.


Lucinda Wierenga has published Sandcastles Made Simple, step-by-step instructions and tips on the art of sandcastle-making.


Don Weill has written a collection of poetic musings called The Older I Get … Light Verse From A Senior Perspective.


Dora Machado has published the second in a fantasy-adventure series called Stonewiser: The Call of The Stone.


Lee G. Carpenter's new book is about the weapons system policy during the Cold War era. The book is called Memoirs of A Cold Warrior: The Struggle For Nuclear Parity.


A Child Shall Lead Me is the title of an essay by Madonna Dries Christensen that is included in a new anthology, Gifts 2: How People With Down Syndrome Enrich The World. 


Larry Parr's stage play: Ethel Waters: His Eye Is On The Sparrow, won a host of awards at The Human Race Theatre in Dayton, Ohio. Daytony Awards received were: Best Overall Production,  Best Performance in a Guest Role (Danielle Lee Greaves),  Best Direction (Schele Williams), Best Musical Direction (Scott Woolley), Best Musical Arrangements (Scott Woolley), Best Sound Design (Matthew P. Benjamin),  Costume  Design (Lowell A. Mathwich), and Light Design (John Rensel). 


Nineteen women from Sarasota County are among the 60 contributors to Dolls Remembered (compiled by Madonna Dries Christensen). They are: Mary Basti, Nadja Bernitt, Sue Blue, Carrillee Collins Burke, Madonna Dries Christensen, Bonnie Davis, McClaren Malcolm Davies, Cathy DeGeorge, Rose Doering, Gela Dolorico, Sue Figdor, Helga Harris, Karen Hewitt, Agnes Kauth, Verona Morse, Beverly Moses, JB Hamilton Queen, Donna Singer, and Roberta Small.
